JabpLite v1.58 J2ME - personal finance program [update 23.11.09]

JabpLite is a personal finance program.
The idea behind JabpLite has been to write a sophisticated personal finance program in Java MIDP which will work on a range of devices including Symbian phones and the Blackberry. JabpLite has many features to help you keep track of your finances, for example:
# Multiple accounts
# Default and user-defined categories
# Regular transactions (ie. save the transactions you do regularly)
# Track your investments
# Standing Orders (yearly, monthly, daily with any frequency), automatically generated on the due dates
# Future Balance calculations (see if you will have enough money to last until pay day!)
# Net worth calculation
# Top ten expense categories (see where your money is going!)
# Foreign currency accounts with automatic revaluation when FX rates change
and much more.
JabpLite comes with a sister program JabpBT, which allows smartphones running MIDP 2.0 to exchange data with a PC via Bluetooth. You can import or export QIF files to work with other PC-based financial programs. You can also backup your data and, when the time comes, move it onto your next phone!
Now it can synchronize with JABP using JabpSync.
Requirements:
· Java enabled phone
What's New in This Release:
What's new in JabpLite 1.58:
· JabpLite is updated to make better use of the display on small screen devices by calculating column widths dynamically in the Account, Category and Investment Views.
What's new in JabpLite 1.57:
· A further update to JabpLite, which adds a new Save As Standing Order function in the Transaction View. Some minor improvements to the Export QIF function are also included in this release.
What's new in JabpLite 1.56:
· If you've been following the discussion forums, you'll have read that this update is to provide toggles in the Accounts View, Investment View and Transaction View which change the default action (screen tap, enter key) to bring up an on-screen menu. Thisis especially relevant for users of S60 5th edition phones such as the N97 and 5800.
What's new in JabpLite 1.55:
· An update for JabpLite which includes a fix for Daylight Savings which impacted some (but not all) phones, allows custom RGB colours to be selected for the display, allows QIF files to be read/written in either ANSI or UTF8 encoding and fixes some other minor reported problems.
What's new in JabpLite 1.54:

What's new in JabpLite 1.53:
· updated with a number of minor enhancements, including a more readable display on small screen devices
What's new in JabpLite 1.52:
· This update incorporates the functionality to synchronise with Jabp, which was previously handled by a separate program JabpSync. To use the new function go to Extra Options>Sync to Jabp. Users who install JabpLite version 1.52 and later can safely uninstall JabpSync. The separate program JabpFile is still required for backup/restore and import/export to QIF files.
What's new in JabpLite 1.51:
· JabpLite has been updated for use with S60 5th edition touch-screen phones such as the Nokia 5800. When operating in full screen mode, these devices don't have an on-screen soft key - the normal way to show a menu. So JabpLite now displays a menu when the user does a long screen tap (> 1 second). Please see the readme file in the zip distribution for more details on running JabpLite on S60 5th edition devices.

The sync process with Jabp has been updated accordingly. In addition, reconciled status is included when exporting to CSV/Tab files. There are also some bug fixes.
What's new in JabpLite 1.47:
· This update includes separate forms for normal and split transactions. Also, when the application comes to the foreground, it now checks for standing orders to process and updates balances if needed. A number of other minor improvements are included.
What's new in JabpLite 1.46:
· JabpLite gets the same update as Jabp to move transactions between accounts. A couple of bugs are also fixed. New for 2009: the distribution zip for JabpLite now includes the latest version of Jabp.
